Drafted and negotiated both domestic and international service and license agreements, provided advice on service delivery and operational issues, and managed the work of outside counsel.Provided labor and employment law advice for nonprofit organization with over 1,200 employees in multiple domestic and international locations.Assumed primary responsibility for organization on regulatory compliance issues, including lobbying, gift, law, FERPA, and statutes specific to the educational testing industry. Advised University Hospital on issues involving Iowa Board of Medicine.Legal advisor to multiple University committees and task forces, including the UI Budget Task Force, the Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Task Force, the Security Monitoring Subcommittee, and the Student Organization Review Committee.Redrafted the Code of Student Life, the policy governing conduct and discipline for 30,000 University of Iowa students. Negotiated multi-million dollar contracts. Litigated vendor appeals.
