Licensed in the states of Louisiana and New York, I have been active in the legal profession for the past four decades. While I have proven myself an accomplished and proficient attorney across nearly every aspect of the practice of law, my areas of primary practice are in commercial litigation and real estate transactions and litigation. My legal career began when I clerked in Federal Court for R. Blake West, a position that taught me valuable trial skills. Following my clerkship, I joined Bronfin Heller, where, as a partner, I focused chiefly on commercial litigation. I have appeared in multiple state and federal courts and the U.S. Supreme Court. Currently, I serve as a managing partner for Richard Kutcher Tygier & Luminais, LLP. My clients include large multinationals and small businesses alike; my personal philosophy is that every client is important — the object of the exercise is a satisfied client.I’ve been selected for inclusion in Louisiana Super Lawyers from 2008 to 2018 and Best Lawyers from 2012 to 2018 in the fields of commercial litigation and real estate and numerous other awards. I am active in both the legal community and community at large. I am president-elect of the Louisiana State Bar Association and have served as chairman of the Louisiana State Advisory Committee to the US Civil Rights Commission, president of the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, chairman of the South-Central Region of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and president of both my synagogue and the New Orleans Jewish Community Center.I am an active member of the American Inns of Court and a frequent speaker and author of litigation, real estate, and ethical topics. On a more personal note, I have been married for 33 years and am a proud father of four. Connect with me here on LinkedIn or email me: rkutcher@nolacounsel.com.
