I was promoted in January 2023 to Senior Software Engineer. A year later, Forensic Advantage became a separate Business Unit alongside of Caliber Public Safety. All my duties continue as I work with my peers to develop and maintain our world-class Forensics and Medical Examiner product suite.

In August, 2020, the Forensic Advantage product found its final home in the Caliber Public Safety Division of Harris Computer. This acquisition marked an exciting time of stability for our team and the future of our flagship product. I have since joined the Research & Development Unit where I am continually focused on my existing duties as SME and primary software engineer of the Medical Examiner application, as well as contributing to existing and new software projects. I am also involved in one-on-one training with newly acquired software engineers coming on board as our team grows. I am very happy to be a part of this great team as I continue contributing to our world-class forensic and pathology software solution.

TCSC was acquired and became THInc.IT. I was acquired with the same role as a Senior Software Developer. My duties also included working with project managers, customers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize new product features. As a senior developer, I was actively involved in architectural decisions driving the direction of our product development to meet the ongoing needs of our customers. My skills included requirements gathering, strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication, systems analysis and design, documentation, and full-stack development utilizing Visual Studio, C#, VB, Win Forms, TFS, EF, LINQ, WCF, SQL Server and the Developer Express suite of controls.

In April, 2014 I was promoted to Senior Software Developer and continued working on the Forensic Advantage product development team building upon the foundational work accomplished with the Medical Examiner application of our product. In addition to building out the M.E. application features, I was heavily involved in research and development of several new tools and technologies that were being introduced into our product to expand our offerings to clients. This included developing tools for junior developers - code that writes code - to speed up deployment of repetitive worksheet development for various clients.

My first three years at TCSC were spent learning new technologies and contributing to the Forensic Advantage team as a developer. During this time I was the architect of a comprehensive medical examiner case management system for our flagship Forensic Advantage software platform. This new module would enable our forensic case management system to be marketed to medical examiners and coroner offices. The success of that work propelled me to the position of Senior Developer.

I was primarily involved in .NET web development providing numerous real-time financial and operational reports which provided daily visibility of company data to employees. I also designed and developed a click-once deployed Windows application to assist in sales lead generation. During one year, I accepted the position of Department of MIS Supervisor, responsible for both software and hardware teams. My technical skill-set focused on VS2005, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005, HTML and XML. In October, 2010, my family moved from Pennsylvania back to Virginia where I took several months off to catch up with family and look for new work.

In 1997, I stepped away from software development to serve my church as a minister and evangelist. During this time I ministered at several churches in Virginia, Florida, and Pennsylvania. I feel that my time as a minister greatly honed important soft skills, making me a more-rounded software developer. During this time I also published several books on Christian subjects.

My time with DuraSoft was my introduction to professional software development under the expert tutelage of Ron Durrer, President and Owner of Durasoft of Virginia. I developed in the Progress relational database within a SCO Unix and Netware environment. We worked on-site at Retail Data Services in Richmond, one of our clients. We were responsible for managing their network infrastructure and servers as well as the design, development, and maintenance of proprietary software specific for their business needs.*Recruiters - I am not interested in Progress development positions. I joined the USAF out of high school and spent seven years as a C-130 gunship and MH-53 and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter maintenance technician. I performed intermediate and component-level installation, analysis, and repair of military radio and radar equipment for special operation aircraft as a member of the Special Operations Command.
