• SatCom RF and Communications Systems Engineer for metamaterial, passive electronically scanned array (PESA) antenna technology at start-up for commercial and government/DoD customers • Customer and partner facing responsibilities providing terminal integration, link budget, coverage, and network analyses for satellite ground segment antenna mobile use-cases.• Remote and on-site troubleshooting with customers on field deployed terminals.• Link budget and coverage tool using STK Connect and Matlab currently under development.• Newtec Dialog subject matter expert• Managing multiple contractors toward development of peripheral terminal hardware.• iDirect Network Planning tool used to optimize leased capacity for heterogeneous population of COTP and COTM terminals. • Mission specific SatCom antenna, terminal integration, and network trade analyses for space, land mobile, aircraft, and maritime platforms using Matlab, Python, STK• Antenna Subystem Module (ASM) and Satellite Communications System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from ConOps definition, requirements definition and trade analyses, through Verification & Validation to deploy and maintenance. • Projects include: Ka Rectilinear ASM for 3U CubeSat, 55cm Ka Cylindrical Thin Film Transistor (TFT) antenna for LEO ground station, Ka Cylindrical TFT ASM for Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) Inter-Satellite Link (ISL), Ku 70cm ASM for small aircraft (ARINC 741) and maritime platforms• Inter-disciplinary lead for Mechanical, RF, Electrical, and Software team coordination throughout SDLC• Technical presenter at design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs) and proposals, for internal and external customers.• Link-budget analysis for mission throughput predictions, PESA aperture sizing, transponder channel sizing.
