I was the first business manager for the company, previous to that some of the tasks I was responsible for were shared by the owner and previous owner. At first I was the only non-pharmacy employee, so as a salaried professional I was responsible for all financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, banking functions, plus printing statements, collections and customer service for a growing long-term care pharmacy. Eventually when I left there were two additions to our non-pharmacy staff as the long-term care pharmacy tripled in size from when I started. I also took on other jobs, such as creating advertising proofs, working with the delivery drivers to keep the vehicles running, licensed and insured, and one-time efforts like working with the web-developer I made contact with to create the new company website, and volunteering to be in charge of moving non-pharmacy items when the corporate and long-term care pharmacy moved.
