Started with the Data Services department of GTE in Sacrmamento, CA. back in 1982. Transferred to Tampa, FL in 1993, still in Data Services. Transferred to Huntington Beach, CA in 1994, as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (Tsme). Provided onsite support to over 100 business sales agents. Handles all hardware, software, networking, and phone support. Took a job in 1997, as a Project Manager, in Dallas, TX. to oversee the testing and Y2K certification of GTE's desktop hardware and software, along with the companies Internet Network products.Once my portion of the project was complete, I was able to transfer to a center in Long Beach, As a System Subject Matter Expert (Ssme). This job was very similar to my job in Huntington Beach, where I supported over 400 reps, taking care of their hardware, software, network and phone system needs.The last two years of my career with the company, I supported an online system, used by over 300 ISPs, to input their DSL issues, when their customers were unable to get a connection thru the network.

Over the course of 25+ years with GTE/Verizon, I heald a variety of position in a number of locations within the company. I started in Sacramento in the tape pool mounting tapes for 12 hour shifts, to scheduling jobs to run. Then moved to Tampa to work on the National Helpdesk, fielding network, hardware and software calls. Then moved to Huntington Beach to work at the onsite (TSME) Technical Subject Matter Expert. This job required me installing all desktop hardware and software, supporting the Network and phone systems.In 1997, took a job with the come in Dallas, TX as a Project Manager for Y2K and was responsible for the testing and certification of all the desktop hardware and software products, along with the Internal products used by the company.After completing my assignment in Dallas, took a job in Long Beach, CA as a (SSME) System Subject Matter Expert, where I once again support a call center, responsible for hardware, software, network, phone systems.. My last couple of years with the company, before I retired, I worked with over 300 ISP's that had access to the Verizon network to service their customers.

After graduating from California State University Sacramento in 1980, started working for Cal West Life Insurance/Part of American General out of Huston, Texas, are a computer Operator.
