Global Marketing Technology Architect

Chandler, Arizona, Us

During my time at VIAVI, I worked to strengthen Marketing's relationship with the Sales, Partner and IT organisations. With these connections, my team was able to cultivate an expert knowledge of our customer audiences, their sentiment towards the company and propensity to buy, insulated by a keen read on our competition. My primary role ensured marketing could measure and communicate the value of their activities were contributing towards revenue and the customer experience. These measures aided the leadership team in rapid decision making. I shielded stakeholders from complexity and communicated just how our marketing architecture was built and optimised to collect, connect and interpret campaign behaviour. While at VIAVI I developed a marketing architecture that:- Connected all activities to campaigns and programs- Accurately connected leads to past and future campaign interactions- Scored prospects and accounts with predictive insights- Provided sales with visibility into prioritised contact behaviour- Enforced connections across prospects, leads and opportunities- Brought account level data to every point of client engagement These efforts enabled:- A suite of global marketing performance dashboards- 100% Closed loop ROI marketing campaign reporting- Actual and predicted marketing revenue pipeline $ value

Snr Customer Marketing Manager

Austin, Texas, Us

Coincidentally I joined Jive at around the time of their strategic partnership with Cisco. I jumped into the role by first worked on a YoY analysis of customer satisfaction spanning all organisations that receive customer feedback. From support tickets to formal customer surveys and customer community content engagement, as well as peer-to-peer contact engagement across social and community areas. With the results of my analysis I established two global projects. One to improve the training and education experience for community managers and end users. The second to redesign the customer onboarding pathway. The education experience was developed in partnership with industry leaders and went live as of November 2014. It provides a foundation for community managers and includes supporting end user training materials that can be leveraged by customer organisations as they work to establish their own internal training curriculum. This experience was delivered through the Jive Community, utilizing its LMS and Gamification model for module based certification. It includes training materials such as Video, step-by-step walk-throughs and interactive assessments. The new on-boarding experience has required partnership across all internal functions, with a goal set for 90% automation. It has been fully designed with the technical requirements completed, engineering resources have been allocated with my final hand over to the development team occurring in Jan 2014. Other responsibilities included:- Partnering with marketing operations to support technologies that maintain the customer database integrity and internal and external communications. - Design customer surveys and supporting performance measures.- Develop content to improve customer engagement and drive innovation across the Jive customer community areas, such as best practices and tips & tricks.- Speak at customer and partner events including executives advisory boards, user groups and JiveWorld.

Solutions Architect - Integrated Marketing Communications

San Jose, Ca, Us

I managed the partnerships within Corporate Marketing and Sales, supporting the design, management and delivery of a set of global executive marketing performance dashboards, each providing actionable information to influence strategic decision making across the entire marketing funnel. This required many partnerships across all marketing operational areas and an intimate understanding of the technologies and standard operating procedures devoted to each core marketing function. Some expertise highlights: - Thought leadership campaign analysis- Customer behaviour and influencer tracking analytics- Satisfaction and Net Promoter Score analysis- KPI design with data integrity weighting- Revenue marketing ROI modeling- Lead performance and efficiency scoring- Marketing content performance scoring across internal, field and partner structures- Operational technologies, including SFDC, Marketo and bespoke solutions- Social and SEO analytics- Customer profile database management and performance measurement At Cisco they have many leadership personalities. Everyone is different when it comes to how they want to filter, pivot, slice and dice the information. This is why interactive dashboards are so important, but they don't solve every need. To support meaningful interaction during strategic sessions, thoughtful scorecards which anchor to the heart of the current industry trends that provide many perspectives are vital. But this level of measurement agility can be expensive, this is why forging strong business relationships and standard processes for data and information gathering is critical. This was one of my most honed skills, while supporting the organisation. In the past I had also managed and designed the Internal and external global communities, and with my design and engineering background I have an appreciation for the effort and patience involved when changing complex environments with the support of internal and outsourced IT resources.

Technical Architect - Global Events & Collaborative Platforms

San Jose, Ca, Us

I head up the design and management of Cisco's overall Strategic Meetings Management Platforms (SMMP). One element of this is our internal engagement portal, providing all Cisco employees the freedom to register their intent to produce meetings or events at scale. The experience helps users to navigate internal policies and engage with a dynamic set of services and partners based on regional availability. The portal supports all areas of the events planning process and allows Cisco to accurately monitor service engagement and event success from many operational perspectives such as budget negotiations, customer experience and marketing objective alignment. Cisco continue to be industry and peer recognised for our commitment to user experience and on occasion I speak publicly regarding our best practices.I also designed a new incentive platform, specifically designed around emerging Gamification principles. Its mission was to be a solid foundation, supplying any Cisco community with a collection processes and interface widgets built to support incentive based game mechanics, with a layer of advanced customer profile management. It included elements, such as: virtual and physical currency support, budget management with adaptive budget load balancing (this had to move funds around based on activity engagement patterns), catalogue management and report visualisation.

Global Meeting & Travel Technology Manager

San Jose, Ca, Us

I was responsible for the worldwide online travel booking portals, which serviced over 65,000 employees and annual revenue of US $40 billion as of 2010. During my time in the role we saw online booking adoption reach 97% in North America and 90% in other regions, providing a consistent operational savings.I designed the now “industry standard” corporate travel booking experience, which decides if employees should provide a business justification for travel and review virtual meeting alternatives such as Web and Video conferencing (Webex/Cisco TelePresence). This gathers the data needed to drive a set of real-time interactive executive dashboards, which demonstrate the performance of the current travel policy on employee behaviour. After its introduction I was recognized in 2009 for my contributions to changing traveler behavior, receiving a Leadership Award for exceeding CFO targets for the reduction of internal meeting travel.I am still engaged with corporate travel teams and regularly consult on new projects.

It was the first of its kind bring together session, hotel, group travel and complex individual multi-city travel. I also worked on the design execution of a set of real time dashboards that provided a tactical overview and lens across global operational efficiency.
