This effort reduces RFS processing to several hours, previously taking days. Introduction of a Service Catalog has improved customer satisfaction and generated greater revenue by speeding up the RFS process repeatable solution. The Service Catalog end-goal was to enable automation of builds to reduce the delivery time for virtual machine builds and adjustments.

Medical Manufacturer goal was to deploy SAP GUI to all of their 160 nationwide sales associates. Availability, accessibility and usability were key requirements, since moving to an ERP system, meant that sales quotes and orders were required to be performed online. Additional challenges included the diversity of end-user systems and the lack of Windows NT domain resources. End-user computers ranged from Linux to Windows 95 to Macintosh OS 9.x and connected to the corporate office with everything from 14.4 kbps dial-up to ADSL. Printers, from several different manufacturers, ranged from dot-matrix to ink-jet. • Citrix MetaFrame XPe Feature Release 1 – The availability of client software with MetaFrame allowed for the deployment to diverse end-user platforms. • Windows 2000 with Terminal Services. • Cisco VPN Solution – Provided a secure networking environment, this VPN solution performed 3DES encryption between the corporate offices and end-user stations. • Configured Citrix NFuse web-based business portal using XML, ASP and HTML. • Deployed universal print driver solution, UniPrint, to resolve issues with multiple types of printer manufacturers and models. • Printing and file services were NetWare-based, assisted customer with planning the implementing a SAN and a clustered Windows NT print and file service solution. • Problem management and system troubleshooting. • Wrote server farm architecture and operations documentation. • Integrated simple network time protocol (SNTP) with NetWare timesync reference server for Windows 2000 Kerberos authentication and public key infrastructure use (PKI). • Planned for migration of Novell Directory Services (NDS) to Microsoft Active Directory and Windows 2000. • Developed class materials and provided training for system administrators on Windows 2000 and MetaFrame farm operations.
