* Management: Interviewing, onboarding, 1-1s, coaching, evaluating performance (including advocating for promotions), personal development planning, creating and implementing improvement plans, offboarding, contractor management. * My team is a combination of remote and onsite team members in several countries, and was all home based from 2020 to 2023. I've very rarely had team members resign, especially recently.* Scrum Master: Leading PI and sprint planning, standup, feature elaboration, backlog generation and retrospective meetings. Reporting team progress and status in ART sync, and demonstrating stories and features in iteration/sprint reviews. Ensuring quality gates and standards are met. Accepting stories on behalf of Product Owner on many occasion. Speaking up for the team when they are not confident to do so.* Organising and participating in volunteering efforts such as kidsloveclothes and the local foodbank. Also taking part in Mastercard's Girls4Tech initiative to show girls they can have STEM careers.* Spring Java (and Perl up until recently) development and testing.* Jenkins job setup and monitoring.* Management of some Docker containers such as NGINX, Jenkins and opengrok. * Preparing and presenting code reviews and performing code reviews of others work.* Release note generation and presentation to stakeholders. Important projects:* Open source vulnerability remediation in Java/Maven.* Version minimal API preparation and launch, including chaos testing.* Java 8-17 (Zulu) upgrade of components and applications.* Add multi-factor authentication (MFA) to Portals applications.* Separated a subsystem from the main Gateway release. This included definition and agreement of how to meet quality gates. The main benefit of this project was being able to release the subsystem at a much increased cadence.* Legacy gateway retirement.* Two internal cloud migrations.* Debian (Stretch) version upgrade for dev environment.
