Management responsibility for the chemicals commodity team. The role supports global and regional purchasing initiatives of the Freudenberg-NOK Sealing organization while working with the individual commodity managers to develop and implement supply strategies.

Commodity responsibility for elastomers including fluoroelastomers (FKM,) Vamac (AEM,) chloroprene, polyacrylate (ACM,) and curatives. Previous commodity experience with HNBR, NBR, EPDM, natural rubber, and outsourced toll mixing.Developing and implementing regional and/or global commodity strategies utilizing a vendor base that aligns with the long-term vision of Freudenberg-NOK's corporate vision.Identifying potential risks to supply and developing contingencies to mitigate any interruptions to production. Solutions include inventory optimization to parallel with the qualitative and quantitative impact of a supply disruption, dual-qualification efforts of critical materials, and development of contracts and supply partnerships.Reacting to unforeseen supply constraints (ex: Japanese earthquake and tsunami, strikes, Force Majeure, etc.)Monitoring and forecasting oil & natural gas derivatives to understand and predict economic forces on elastomers in an effort to improve our procurement position.

Responsible for the complete sourcing process of all purchased components on exterior and interior programs, within Honda, Daimler Chrysler, GM, Mitsubishi, and ToyotaInvolved in concurrent engineering teams to ensure that the launch process is successfully implemented Other responsibilities include: Make vs. Buy analysis, locating cost save opportunities, performing tool audits; liaise corporate strategy between program team and plant personnel; supporting sales and cost estimating with pre-quote data; hosting readiness reviews.
