Social Studies Educator
CurrentI am in my 26th year of teaching at Marietta Middle School. I have taught 7th grade Social Studies to general, enhanced, gifted, and STEM classes. With a Master's degree in Curriculum and Technology, my classroom instruction is technology rich and differentiated to best suit the diverse learners from the Marietta community. I have served as an interdisciplinary team leader, Social Studies Department Chair and as Co-chair of the School Governance Team. My state level experience includes curriculum revision, development of content frameworks, development of CRCT and Milestone assessments, and serving as a judge for the state Social Studies Fair. I hold certifications in Broad Field Social Studies Education (6-12), Gifted Education, and Educational Leadership.
