Developed in all elements of the IBM Connections Profiles application involving complex J2EE, Java, Javascript, and database design and coding. Profiles is Connections directory component, which catalogues and authenticates users. Solely performed Tivoli Directory Integrator (TDI) development and testing; it is tool for user creation (typically from LDAP) and synchronization.• Covered all areas of the Connections ProfilesJ2EE application as 1 of 2 developers. Gained wide experience in J2EE application development, e.g., Java packages, APIs, EJBs, servlets, messaging, configuration, Struts, SQL, and provided solid solutions to all issues.• Specialized in programming Connections user-lifecycle framework in both phases: user creation and synchronization of Profiles database with TDI, and messaging over Websphere bus for inter-application synchronization. 1. Took over all TDI development, maintenance, and testing, previously, an architect level position. Stabilized component and made substantial improvements. Added multi-threading to synchronization, and customer test went from 10 hours to 3.5. Another critical command went from 10 hours to 45 minutes. Large customers were extremely pleased. 2. Took over inter-application synchronization from another architect which was source of a number of difficult defects. Came up with clear test cases which helped support and customers were pleased.• Resolved numerous additional customer issues often working directly with customer technical people, which usually led to rapid fixes.• Corrected numerous Profiles security defects in the cloud version of Profiles with all issues being repaired while customer was retained.• Developed scheduled task framework. Initially a Java API for a single application, but extended API for general use. Overcame thorny technical issues using Websphere scheduler because no other scheduler, e.g., Quartz, worked properly with Websphere clusters.

Implemented Workplace Administration user interface (UI) for Lotus Workplace which ran on Websphere. • Implemented scheduler task settings UI servlet Java. The front end simply outputted HTML which was the most complex administration piece and served as a template for all other settings.• Assigned the most complex administration group tasks, e.g., analysed configuration settings that Websphere looked for in a JAR file.

Developed on the IBM Discovery Server project.• Implemented sophisticated Java utility that 'spidered' Domino repositories, e.g., QuickPlace for the IBM Discovery Server project. Coded in Java using CORBA and JNI to connect to Domino server back end API. Utility performed extremely well by detecting the optimal number of threads to run.This product was discontinued shortly after it was released. What I worked on functioned correctly. The lead technical people should have been put in jail for fraud.

Primary contributor to Lotus Freelance text engine – a major Freelance component - and related functional items on Windows in C and C++. Freelance went from # 3 to # 1 in business graphics during period.
