At the request of senior leadership, I temporarily managed a team of 8 software engineers until a permanent software manager could be recruited. This software team focused upon new product introduction and sustaining activities. Our team was focused upon rapidly implementing sweeping changes to our overall architecture strategy. This involved helping the group navigate tremendous amounts of change including: + Research and implementation of a half dozen new software development tool suites. + Transition from a waterfall to Agile software development process. + Organizational design changes. + A complete overhaul of our business processes including the adoption of requirements management software (Jama) and the introduction of new tools from Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, BitBucket)

Implemented $4M in cost savings for a recently launched product family. Our small team also focused upon methods to significantly minimize supply chain disruptions for this product that was experiencing surging demand.

Managed several engineering teams within the global supply chain organization at A-dec. + Responsible for launching new production lines at recently opened facility in China. This included providing sustaining support to existing manufacturing operations to optimize and expand the capabilities of the factory. Our team also worked to qualify local Chinese suppliers to streamline the supply chain and reduce costs. + Provided technical leadership for purchased parts on both new product introductions and daily sustaining activities. We were also responsible for supplier development to improve yields, eliminate external failures and reduce costs. + Orchestrated technical improvements within the shipping, warehouse and materials planning functions to reduce cost, boost agility and shrink customer lead times. This included support of newly created 3PL distribution center in Europe.
