Robert P. Miller, Jr. serves as a managing director for Sperry Van Ness in Boston, Massachusetts and is a co-founder, with William E. Diercks, of Great Cove Advisors, LLC. With over 30 years experience in the commercial real estate industry, Miller's primary focus is raising capital for middle market industrial companies through structuring sale-leaseback transactions for their core property and by selling their non-essential real estate to investors.Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Miller formed partnerships to acquire and develop real estate for his own account. He consulted to a diverse clientele of corporations, institutions and private entities. He worked on public/private ventures and repositioning older properties to new and productive uses. Miller was principally involved in providing strategic real estate advice to companies and property owners.Previously, Miller was in charge of real estate development in the Northeastern region of the Real Estate Investment Department of The Prudential Insurance Company. There he developed office and research parks, led a highly skilled team in the development of the Hyatt Regency Cambridge and had a direct role in the acquisition and development of property with a current market value of more than $1 billion.Miller is currently a member of NAIOP, the Association for Corporate Growth and runs Private Sector Development programs at the Boston Society of Architects. A resident of Boston, Massachusetts, Bob received his BA from Trinity College, Hartford, and his MBA from Suffolk University.
