The story starts with RICE University, that created the STEMscopes curriculum, written on the specific Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). In writing the Science Curriculum on the standards, the dynamic has shifted completely, for the Teacher, Principal and Superintendent. That dynamic is the School District's ability to free up teacher time, to focus on the hands-on science that is leading to greater student engagement and therefore student outcome. RICE University's latest research study, involving more than 360,000 students shows an increase in passing rates from districts' using STEMscopes, vs. those that do not. The NGSS has further shifted the paradigm in teaching and therefore learning, with STEMscopes offering the only solution to school districts, making that change.
