Hands on engineering manager across cross-functional teams ranging from supply chain software development to a dedicated team of data engineers.During this time I continued to be responsible for the four iOS applications that Clutter maintains for its logistics operations.

Hired as one of the first engineers to build the iOS software that would run the logistics operations of Clutter, I then helped the team hire and scale the engineering efforts as the company grew from several engineers to over 40.

Part of the founding team building personal finance and tax tools for freelancers. Wrote a new iOS application from the ground up in Swift to help with budgeting and tax preparation.

AGOGO was aquired by Rdio. I worked on their cross platform music app with the intention of porting it to a native iOS client.

Podcast application selected as best new app by the App Store and Pick of the month by AppleVis.As lead iOS developer at AGOGO, I lead a small team of developers to iterate and improve our iOS client through multiple releases on the app store. After launch, we transitioned the app to iOS 7 and have continually tweaked and enhanced functionality as the app has matured. AGOGO is instrumented for analytics to measure business goals as well discover pain points, for example iterating on the onboarding process to increase retention. The app makes extensive use of custom views and animations and uses AVFoundation, Core Location, Core Animation and Core Graphics.Accessibility is important to me and we worked with the blind community to focus group and improve our VoiceOver experience, ultimately creating a different playback behavior for blind users. I'm very proud that AGOGO was selected as "App of the Month" by AppleVis.At a small startup, one is often required to wear different hats, and I have worked on various other technologies at the company including the API, the crawler, the custom facing web application and the CMS. As such I have experience in Python as well as Ruby On Rails development.

I worked as one of two primary developers on a number of client projects. As part of a small company and an even smaller development team I worked closely with designers and QA quickly iterate functionality and test new ideas. Most of my time was spent developing Silverlight applications for the then nascent Windows Phone 7 platform (Famous for popularizing "flat" design).Applications were developed under the MVVM (Model View ViewModel) paradigm to allow concurrent development and design work. My role at this company required working on a number of products each with aggressive turn-around times (typically less than 3 months).

I worked as an embedded software engineer, developing portable C code compiled and tested on Windows, Linux and OS X but also ported to numerous customer platforms and operating systems. All platform specific functionality such as memory allocation, file I/O and other services were provided through an abstraction layer while the code itself was designed to be able to compile anywhere without modification. As such, device coding best practices like minimal stack use and file I/O, safe data typing, and platform-agnostic serialization were observed. Responsibilities included developing customer-facing embedded library products as well as different aspects of a back-end production process.I lead the development of a text based music identification technology that was designed to run on embedded systems with IO latency and low memory being important design constraints. Optionally working with an MP3 metadata (ID3) parsing system that I wrote, the system would find the best match on a local database of of track and album metadata.
