Rob co-founded and lead the growth of First West Capital from start up to a fund with over $100MM in assets. During this time, the fund invested over $150MM in about 70 clients. Robert personally originated and lead $60MM of investments across 32 clients, with zero write offs. Under Rob's leadership, the fund was the fastest growing business within the credit union, never lost a dime and was a material contributor to the credit union's profit. Robert oversaw the company's strategic development from start up to over $100MM in assets, with four offices and twelve staff. Robert was responsible for strategic planning, business development, formulating investment policy and procedures, hiring and staff training, underwriting, due diligence, and operations. He was a member of investment and lending committee for all deals except those originated by himself.
