Rob is CEO and Founder of Australian Tenders with over 30 years experience in tech. He was awarded the Pearcey WA Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2019 Incite Awards. Rob is passionate and committed to supporting emerging WA startups and is on the organising committee of the West Tech Fest and a mentor in the Plus Eight Accelerator and Curtin Accelerate programs. He is an active Angel investor and has invested in over 30 WA startups in the last 8 years including GeoMoby, Electro.Aero, eNautic, Fremantle Seaweed, Fleetsu (exited), Workmetrics and BankVault. Rob is the lead investor in the Curtin Angel Syndicate which is focussed on investment opportunities emerging from entrepreneur programs at Curtin University. Over 100+ startup ideas are nurtured each year through their entrepreneur programs Curtin Ignition and Curtin Accelerate. He identified the need for comprehensive data and insights on upcoming tenders when working as a Business Development Manager for a tech company. He started his own company in 2009 which was bootstrapped using $5000 he borrowed from his super fund. The company has since helped thousands of businesses find tender opportunities.Rob has a Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering from Curtin University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia
