I’m deeply rooted in a strong science background - and I am captured by responsibly shaping technology with purpose, leading complex organizations, developing global businesses and enabling exceptional talent to grow. And while doing this, I'm always looking for those universal, simple guiding principles that make this work more effectively.Throughout my career, I have been allowed to gain an unusual blend of leadership experiences: I served as a CEO of successful global businesses and as a COO in the healthcare industry. I led the turnaround of large global ‘crisis’-projects, did lean- and agile-transformations at scale, or was leading a German-Chinese hightech joint venture. Sometimes even in parallel. .... and at this very moment I’m helping to transform one of the largest innovative tech-corporations worldwide as Siemens’ Global Head of People and Leadership. Yet still, many of my colleagues believe that deep in my heart, I genuinely enjoy the few moments, when I’m able to “just talk technology” on eye-level with our customers and our fantastic manufacturing-, sales- or R&D-experts all around the world … and indeed I do! I wouldn’t want to work for a company that wasn’t disrupting. Permanently, globally, successfully. So I enjoy being with Siemens advocating diversity of thoughts, promoting fast learning and enabling effective people development. In our rapidly changing technological, business and societal environment, organizations should never be caught standing still.
