Since 2000 I held the position of Commercial Sales Finance Manager reporting to the Vice President Head of American Express Global Corporate Payments (GCP) in Italy. I had one direct report. In this position I supported sales activity:Providing Sales teams with strong financial support through the planning process, consulting on financial issues and analyses of sales performance data (budgets, forecasts, control of Sales incentive plans)

Dealing with Amex's Multinational and Key corporate accounts in Italy. I conducted support activity for the Amex Sales force by:• Reviewing customer corporations’ administrative, organizational and procedural flows (i.e. benchmarking, change management). These analyses had as objective to highlight potential savings that clients could achieve by introducing new procedures and new financial instruments (e.g. corporate credit cards).

Managing the process for budget and forecast preparation, for the cost / profit centers of the company; Analyze expense account variations and develop corrective action plans

From 1989 to 1990 I held the position of Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller. Managing a team of about 20 people that conducted daily accounting for vendor payables and accounts receivable activities

I began working at American Express in 1985 with responsibility as Internal Auditor for Italy, introducing periodic reviews for company accounting and operational procedures. I have managed this function until 1988, reporting to the Finance director.

Accounting, Budget & Financial Control Dept.: I have been accounting clerk from 1982 to 1983, then from 1983 to 1985 I was responsible for the financial control and preparation of the reporting required by the Bank of Italy relevant to the bank’s foreign branches (London and New York).

I have worked at FAO with a temporary contract on a statistical research project concerning natural and synthetic fibre consumption in 148 Countries.Also worked with a temporary contract at IFAD in Rome for the preparation of the 5th Governors’ Council
