I have had the chance to cover a wide variety of roles within the university’s team for the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018, an international competition where participants have to design, build and manage a fully operational, solar-powered house.I have started as a member of the Communication Contest, where I was responsible for the public image of the team and for the relations with some of our sponsors, and then transitioned to more technical roles. Among these, I was in charge for choosing and implementing innovative technologies into our project and for leading my teammates to finish all the required material within the deadlines, ensuring high quality standards. I was also chosen for presenting and discussing all the technical aspects of our house with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) during a three days review session in Dubai. Finally, I have helped turning the project into a spin-off company of the University of Pisa, named Vesta Greenbox.
