Grew the company from about $2 million in sales to over $5 million. Managed a small sales force of two inside sales and one outside sales personnel, foreign agents, and an administrative staff. Responsible for all proposals, pricing, and upfront engineering. Developed several unique, high profit product lines in response to market demands. One such product was the WCPX line that is a combination HVAC/P (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pressurization) unit to meet NFPA 496 type Z pressurization with conditioned air for Class I, Division 2, Groups B, C, and D hazardous locations. This was in response to Square D needing such a system for their MCC buildings that would be easy to install because the typical installation required two separate units to install and a separate control panel to wire. I designed this unit with everything built-in and reduced installation time from several days to several hours. Later we also added chemical filtration. I performed the load and airflow calculations, design basis, and sketched up the system and engineering did the detailed design.Worked with M/D Todco to design a stainless steel combination HVAC/P system for their driller's cabins which was challenging since it had to be low profile and roof mounted. This first unit went on the Jade semisubmersible and was the first of many units.Initiated a customized customer database in Act! and integrated it with QuoteWerks, a database driven quoting program with a link to the accounting system, QuickBooks. -
