Bob has more than twenty years of experience in technology management and legal services. His firm focuses on patent portfolio development and intellectual property management. Bob previously served as Chief Legal Officer, Secretary and COO at ChoozOn Corporation (d.b.a. Blue Kangaroo) where he advised the management team and the board of directors on all legal affairs of the company while managing corporate development and investor relations, human resources, and business operations. Before joining ChoozOn, Bob founded and managed a private law firm for eight years serving large clients including Microsoft and Yahoo where he engaged as an IP strategic consultant. His firm focused on legal services for patent portfolio development, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications with the Patent and Trademark Office, counseling clients on intellectual property matters, licensing software and intellectual property, acquisitions, and business development. Prior to establishing his legal firm, Bob served as chief legal counsel and a member of Audience Science’s senior management team from 2000 until 2003. From 1994 until 2000, Bob served as Corporate Attorney at Microsoft Corporation where he practiced in a wide variety of corporate matters including intellectual property, licensing, litigation, acquisitions, strategic alliances, and investments. From 1988 to 1994, Bob was a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he led the development team for the Operations Systems for the Signal Transfer Point, a high-capacity packet switch that formed the signaling infrastructure of the AT&T interexchange carrier network. Bob is a member of the Washington State Bar, the Ohio Bar and is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Bob has published and spoken on patent law issues and is an active member of American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
