I was born and raised in England and moved to Portugal at the age of 14 (I'm fluent in both languages). I've been acting since I was 7, throughout different companies and schools, including "Bunbury Banter" Saturday School, "Chacotina" (a professional Portuguese theatre group), and my university's theatre group.In terms of education, I have completed my Bachelor's in Cellular and Molecular Biology (Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias - Universidade Nova de Lisboa), and am close to finalizing my Masters degree in Bioinformatics (Escola de Engenharia - Universidade do Minho).I have recently started my journey at Checkmarx as a Junior Appsec Engineer, analysing a variety of different application source code to inspect for possible vulnerabilities.Complementary experience:- I completed an internship at my Faculty, where we collected and identified macroinvertebrates from river samples to determine the degree of pollution. - My end-of-bachelor project consisted of creating a Python library (MutantGene) to help predict the impact of cancer by understanding the roles of each affected gene, determined through tissue samples(https://github.com/rocobull/MutantGene).- My thesis focussed on automating ML pipelines (from data preprocessing to model evaluation), with an emphasis on determining which descriptors, data treatment and ML algorithm combinations result in the best performing models, for both binary classification and regression problems.
