I have led many projects that started with a 'back of the napkin' sketch and taken it across the finish line. Shanghai Disneyland Peter Pan’s Flight – Worked with Project Engineer and other Mechanical Engineers on the design and analysis of various components of the Ride Vehicle, Ride Track, & Station. Worked with various disciplines within WDI including Safety, Operations, Creative, & Facilities on the development of an evacuation plan, evacuation equipment design, analysis, and documentation.Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom AvatarLand – Worked with various disciplines within WDI including Creative, Facilities, R&D, Operations & Architecture on the Blue Sky phase of the project development for AvatarLand. Specifically supported the Creative effort with Engineering concepts, sketches, and models for the purposes of Ride concept development and estimates for budget development.

Cognizant Engineer - Avionics Packaging of Motor Controller Assemblies on Mars Science Laboratory Rover (aka Curiousity) and Descent Vehicles.

Composite Tool Design/Part Design Engineer Supported the fabrication of composite stringers and tooling for the Airbus A350XWB at ATK-Clearfield. Duties included model interrogation, design and documentation of composite layup, molding, and inspection tools.Composite Manufacturing Engineer Supported the fabrication and assembly of various satellite bus structures (Boeing 601, LM A2100, etc.) at ATK-Corona. Duties model interrogation and documentation of all fabrication processes: facesheet layup, core bonding, clip installation, assembly, and inspection.JPL Cognizant Avionics Packaging Engineer Managed the design, fabrication, analysis, and testing protocols for the Motor Controller Assemblies on the Mars Science Laboratory. Duties included schedule and budget tracking of deliverables to the customer and management of an Integrated Process Team consisting of Mechanical designers and engineers as well as Electrical engineers, PCB designers, Thermal/Structural analysts and Manufacturing engineers.

Design: Worked with Chief Engineer in the development, design, analysis, documentation, analysis, and manufacture of linear actuator systems, specifically ballscrew assemblies. Worked with Manufacturing Engineers in the development of new machining processes of various components within a ballscrew assembly.Research and Development: Implemented new design and analysis methods utilizing 3D Solid Modeling Software (Solidworks 2006). Developed Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) for new ballscrew efficiency test machine along with new testing protocols and parameters.

Acting Chief Engineer on the Mechanical Design, Analysis, Documentation, Fabrication, Assembly, and Test of several custom Linear Actuator Assemblies.

Design: Worked within Integrated Process Teams (IPT) in the design, analysis, documentation and fabrication of wide array of tooling for the manufacture, inspection, and repair of advanced composite aerospace structures. Worked with Customer Engineering Group’s in the analysis and development of full 3D CAD data set of advanced composite aerospace structures.; Developed and implemented tool design procedures using CATIA V5 Solid Modeling Software. Developed new methodology for the utilization of customer supplied 3D CAD data in the tool design and documentation process.

Design: Worked within Integrated Process Teams in the design, analysis, documentation, fabrication, and approval of wide array of tooling and test equipment for the overhaul and repair of airframe and components within the United Airlines Fleet. Participated in the design and documentation of the 777 Flight Deck Door Reinforcement System.Research and Development: Worked with several teams in the transition from five (5) CAD systems to a single system company-wide (CATIA V5). Developed numerous procedures and methods for the use of customer supplied engineering data in the design and documentation of tooling and test equipment.

Participated in team competition to design a remote control aircraft for optimal performance in heavy-lift. Presented technical information and results to BOEING engineers in written reports and oral presentations.

Research and Development: Supported University Staff for research, design, and fabrication of all new design projects and systems. Fabricated composite structure wing sections for wind tunnel testing. Validated airfoil designs in wind tunnel and collected raw data (pressure coefficients, etc.). Presented technical information and results to staff engineers in written reports and oral presentations.

Design: Worked with Mechanical Design Engineers in the design, analysis and documentation of various components in production semiconductor equipment systems. Worked with Applications Engineers in the design, assembly and operation of test stands for production components of next-generation semiconductor equipment systems.
