Challenging and exciting career change after many years in the private and for profit sector, first in London then in Rome. It took a little while to get used to the 'new world' but now am totally up and running and am loving it. There's a special and unique 'human factor' in teaching young adults, especially in these complex times. I also worked with designers, programmers and pre-sales staff to perform feasibility analysis, and advised on key area such as information architecture, user experience and localisation. I led the build of many high-level investor relations and corporate websites, including prototyping and cross-browser testing, ensuring they complied with accessibility and usability principles, and W3C standards.I was also responsible for the implementation of tools based on the user interaction, such as image galleries, job applications, press kits, alerting systems (email and SMS), newsletters production, typical financial tools (based on data fed by Reuters), such as interactive charts, dynamic share prices (HTML and XML), RSS feeds, sites specifically built for PDAs (BlackBerry, etc.). The position also involved project management, internal as well as client training, the production of technical documentation, and team management.

As Team Leader I managed, developed and motivated a multi-lingual and multi-cultural team of eight employees in terms of their productivity and quality of their work.- Responsible for successful operation of a technical and customer service helpdesk on behalf of Olivetti Computers, Eicon Technology (ISDN cards and devices) and 3com (Modems)- Authorised PC, Cards and Modem repairs worth over £100,000 a month- Liaised with senior management of client and service providers in a number of European countries I left this position to pursue a one year full-time Master in Electronic Communication and Publishing at UCL, London, with an award from the AHRB.
