About Robert Onyango

I am a software engineer with a background in full stack engineering. I grew up in Kenya in the early 80s where computers were rare in households. My mother happened to work at the Ford Foundation where during a computer upgrade, got an old Apple Macintosh computer that I would play Blackjack on. One afternoon while on summer vacation, I found a copy of "MAD" magazine that had code printouts for the MAC that I thought at the time were playable games. I started copying the code I found into the Mac with hopes of transforming these code snippets into playable games. This peaked my interest in computers and led me to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering. Two decades later, I have become a passionate software engineer and mentor in my field.
