Responsibilities• Design carbohydrate bioanodes for biofuel cell applications for the FP7 EU project “3D-nanobiodevice” and in charge of fulfilling the deliverables, reports and problems on time for the EU-project that financed my thesis (3D-nanodevice). Responsibilities• Planning, designing, performing and evaluating the experiments regarding capacitive and amperometric biosensors for meat tenderness and estradiol in milk using FIA methods.• Communicate my results in form of peer-reviewed publications and oral and poster presentations at international conferences.• Write reports and communicate with co-workers, supervisor and project coordinator about the results obtained.• Supervise partially 2 master students.Achievements• Flow injection biosensor for meat and milk analysis with potentiometric and amperometric techniques using antibodies or enzymes.• Design of a new biosensor for meat tenderness for the FP6 EU project ‘Tendercheck’ and a new estradiol biosensors for the project ‘Ovultest’. Responsibilities• Planning, designing, performing and evaluating experiments regarding SAMs formation on gold electrodes and characterization with electrochemical techniques.• Analysis of catecholamines using different electrochemical techniques and electrode materials.• Collection of experimental data for an educational ‘dry lab’ on electrochemistry (http://www.drylabs.com/labs/) and help the programmers with the theory on the ‘dry-lab’.Achievements• I obtained deep knowledge on electrochemistry and SAMs formation.• I developed methods for detection of catecholamines on different material electrodes using electrochemical techniques.

Responsibilities• Synthesis, separation and analysis of phosphines modified ruthenium organometallic clusters used as catalysts in organic enantioselective reactions.• Report the results to the group leader.Achievements• I obtained practical knowledge on organometallic synthesis, separation and analysis using NMR, IR and spectrophotometry.• Resulted in one published peer-reviewed article.
