In 2015 as part of a global Mattel imitative to reduce costs globally, I was recruited into the Mattel Shared Service Project Team for the project of ‘Transforming our Future’ where I am the European Lead.My responsibilities included evaluation of the MGSS organization and processes resulting in the elimination of non-value tasks and processes, possible redesign and streamlining of core processes, possible consolidation of tasks and processes at one of the three Shared Service Centre locations, global alignment of MGSS processes where possible, alignment and redesign of Internal Controls (Statutory, SOX, Mattel Financial Policy, Minimum Control Standards, Fraud Detection, etc.) and repurposing to new work activity coming into MGSSWith the above responsibilities I deal directly with the Shared Service Centre Management Team to ensure that the current level of service and controls will be maintained throughout the Project according to the Shared Service Centre Agreements (SLAs) across all Europe I provide on-going project status communications to senior management, with periodic updates for project status and milestone achievements and meet with senior management for decision making and any identified high risk issues.
