Main projects of the Department developed for CAMPANIA Region. (1) MISTRALS: monitoring of the territory, by satellite images, for the detection of illegal buildings. The system is based on a WEBGIS customized for over 551 users (mainly the municipalities in Campania), with a frequency of about 3/4 months of update and web reports prepared using a speditive approach of change detection technique from high resolution optical satellite imagery (www.mistrals.it). (2) SIT ENERGY: Geographic Information System of Energy Infrastructures and Electric Systems. It has been designed and built a geo-database containing geographic information and infrastructures of all energy sources in Campania region. It was realized a DSS client application to enable a user frendly consultation of data.(3) MOSAIC: Satellite Monitoring of Infrastructure financed by Community funds. It was built a first prototype of a system that will allow, through the consultation of remote sensing images and measurements of work progress with the technique of change detection, to monitor the evolution of public works financed from european programs and funds.
