Rob Outram is Managing Director at Ankura based in London. He is a forensic accountant specialising in valuation and the quantification of damages in commercial disputes.He is a chartered accountant with fourteen years of experience, primarily as a valuation expert in litigation and international arbitration (including in the LCIA, ICC, ICSID, SIAC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, UK High Court, Upper Tax Tribunal, Grand Court of Cayman, and Singapore High Court). Rob’s engagements most commonly include the quantification of economic damages, through the valuation of businesses and shares, and the assessments of lost profits and wasted costs. Rob also opines on accounting issues and provides valuations to clients in an advisory capacity. Rob is experienced in the preparation of expert reports that deliver clear, persuasive, and reasoned opinions in some of the world’s largest and most complex commercial disputes, including in relation to:• valuation of investments and quantification of damages in investor-state arbitration;• valuation in shareholder disputes and post-completion M&A disputes;• valuation of businesses and shares in matrimonial disputes;• quantification of damages arising from breaches of contract or tort;• accounting and damages in securities litigation under FSMA 90/90A; and• expert determination in relation to earnouts and completion accounts.Rob also acts as an expert advisor to legal teams and funders in contemplation of legal action and throughout any proceedings.
