• Responsible for production & approval of all National and Local Press Adverts, POS, Brochures, Outside, Digital Media, Exhibition Products & promotional items on large retail & FMCG accounts including ASDA, B&Q, Greggs & DFS. Introducing new suppliers to Gratterpalm & undertaking consultancy work to improve business operations. Brainstorming with creative teams and bringing in new products and suppliers

Working on site at the new Daily Mail General Trust account. Responsible for winning new business from Marketing, Editorial, Advertising departments at the Daily and Sunday Mail newspapers and other companies within the DMGT group. Managing work from enquiry through to delivery, growing client relationships and increasing business turnover. This was an extremely challenging and enjoyable client facing role which extended beyond printing and data production. A three month temporary contract that involved winning a £170K print order in the 5th week on site.

• Weekly publishing & print management of three time sensitive gravure produced magazines for The Mirror, Sunday Mirror & The People newspapers with a combined weekly print run of 3.8 million copies, printed in UK & Netherlands. Setting schedules for all staff & suppliers involved in the production process. Dealing with any crisis that arose including system failures, mechanical failures & human error; internally or at suppliers.• A client facing role account managing seven internal departments. Working closely with editorial, creative, advertising & marketing teams to ensure their conceptual ideas were produced effectively & commercially; within specification & budget. Print management & buying of B3 / B2 sheet fed, digital & POS & large volume gravure & web offset items produced in UK & Europe.• Brainstorming meetings with marketing, creative and innovation teams to create new products to use in promotions.• File and page management & transmission from external & internal clients to contract & commercial printer suppliers. Quality control: colour, reproduction, finishing, & delivery of all items, involving some press passing.• Content control: publishing; software used: InDesign, Content Watch, Quark Express, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word & IBM Lotus Notes.

• Delivery of projects from multiple clients with excellent organisation and communication skills.• Overseeing, management and implementing projects across the business for departments at the company Head Quarter offices in London, Canary Wharf.• Creation, management and completion of large and small projects using Microsoft Project and C.A. SuperProject Software. • Integrating several existing projects in to one multi million pound project and managing the team to deliver it on time within budget.• Writing, presenting, implementing & maintaining the company Business Continuation Plan.

Responsible for the production of up to five week magazine titles with a combined circulation of 4.5 million copies. A similar role at a lower scale as Magazine Production Manager, (2007 to 2011), but incorporating The Independent Newspapers magazine titles, using older technology.

• Specializing in direct marketing and in line special print products with multiple folds and finishing options using 1 x 16 page and 2 x 8 page web offset presses, with inline finishing.• Responsibilities included: - paper buying, reprographics, print production and finishing. This involved works docket writing and progression, machine board loading and customer service and development. Specifically I was tasked with turning loss making work to profit and increasing margins by using the most efficient printing and finishing methods.

Collins and Wilson were a B3 printer specialising in short to medium run sheet fed printed material on two and four colour presses. Based at the London sales office the role involved coordinating the production of work back through to the factory and the servicing of key clients and contracts.
