My accomplishments in the past at Heathkit were to develop the first digital FM tuner including many developments therein. I worked in microwave satelite development, I worked in cameras and systems developing bottle inspection machinery, I worked at HP developing test programs in HPVee for production test equipment. I did the first solid state complimentary power amplifier. At advanced energy i builtand engineered many test systems for RF generators and tuners. I am currently workingon test systems for the 1 MW inverter for Advanced Energy.Specialties: test equipment programming and operation. robotics, mechanical/ machine operations and assemblyI am encouraged to think about project managing/engineering, I would think i have done a lot of that while not actually being in the position. When i was at HP i was in a class about innovation one of the instructors said that he did not like meetings, the best place to plant ideas are in hall conferences. Thinking back i believe this to be a significant factor in business. Much is expressed as a need so i will relate this story. I was working on the new Digital tuner where i worked and the TV engineer came over and asked me what display he should use for channel display. I said you have the best display in the world in front of you, use it. But people do not what that on screen all of the time - well turn if off after 10 seconds. He walked away and an entire industry was initiated. There have been many stories in my life and other lives like this, even when i was project manager. The other thing I was noted for was being between management and workforce. To me they live in two different worlds and isolation and interpretation and reinforcement was a talent that i had naturally because i was grass roots and could speak to them all at personal level understanding the barriers.
