How can we capture what we see? I am an artist and scientist who studies visual experience and how it can be recorded in art and digital media. I'm the Director of Research at Fovotec where we have developed Dynamic Projection, a new form of perspective based on the structure of human vision. It can be used to capture the full scope of the visual field and creates a much greater sense of depth and immersion than the linear perspective used in photography, cinema and computer graphics. I’ve been investigating how physical processes in the brain produce conscious experiences, and how machines could acquire mental and creative capabilities.
