Most recently, I have assumed the role of Integration Development Delivery Lead for our greenfield SAP 1610 project. This is the very latest release of SAP. Our SAP footprint has drastically grown and I'm helping to make sure Tesoro can exchange data with our customers/vendors while working with our 3 implementation partners. I'm lucky enough to work with multiple integration technologies including: SAP PO, HANA Cloud Integration, and Web Methods.As a manager, I'm responsible for managing a staff of 9 full-time employees and 8 contractors spanning all development aspects of SAP and our customer portals. Having great people makes this job much easier than it could have been. Also, my duties involve providing complex Architectural Solution Designs for complicated processes and projects.

We designed and developed a rather slick notification system for our Credit dept. We courtesy-notify EFT-relevant customers 1 to X days in advance of their draft date. And, we automatically re-notify them anytime an invoice comes in or falls out of a draft batch. We are able to tie this tightly together with Treasury so only those customers who have received a notification will be drafted. This builds confidence and trust between us and our customers because they know exactly how much is being drafted from their accounts, when, and for what invoices.We are in the final stages of implementing an automatic Order, Delivery, and Goods Movement Creation workbench. We are utilizing relatively new tools to Tesoro: HANA, AIF, and Process Observer. All of these are fantastic tools. We pull application data from HANA into ECC. It goes through a conversion, translation, and validation layer tool called AIF (Application Interface Framework). The resulting data has a Workbench sitting on top of it for reviewing and document creation. We've designed a process flow model in Process Observer to capture important metrics to help identify potential bottlenecks. This has the potential to speed up the Order to Cash process and provide transparency across business areas.
