Investigated the causes of preterm birth in humans, using qPCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, ELISA and proteomics to study the prostaglandin metabolic pathway, phospholipase C enzymes and biomarkers in maternal peripheral blood plasma.

Investigated the causes of preterm birth in humans, using qPCR, Western blotting, promoter analysis (cloning, transfection, luciferase assay), transcription factor analysis (EMSA, ChIP) to study regulation of G protein (type s) subunit alpha and chorionic gonadotropin receptor.

Studied the molecular biology of the negative-stranded RNA virus/avian pathogen Newcastle Disease Virus. Determined the RNA sequence of the viral 5' terminus, overexpressed viral proteins to study their activities in assays in vitro.
