Management of company properties located in the STACK to ensure that all wells assigned to me are drilled on time in accordance to their position along the rig line. Negotiating with owners for Oil and Gas Leases, Purchase and Sale Agreements, Assignments, Farm-in/Farm-out Agreements, Mineral Deeds, Joint Operating Agreement and other transactional documents to bolster and further the Alta Mesa’s acreage position. Collaborating with brokers and attorneys to ensure that all land related regulatory work through the Oklahoma Corporation Commission is heard and ordered in a timely fashion. Management of due diligence processes for acquisition of 20,000+ acres, that have led to Alta Mesa owning approximately 140,000 net acres in the STACK.

Supervised all leasing activity and title examination, assisted and negotiated the acquisition of leasehold and other assets on behalf of our clients, operated as liaison between the contract land office and client to relay information, formulate and implement plans to efficiently manage projects. Managed fellow project managers while also performing those same tasks.

Managed a team of field landmen and worked directly with clients to determine the best course of action needed for their projects. Managed title, curative, lease acquisition, seismic and surface projects for our clients in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Worked directly with the field land personnel to ensure that tasks were completed in a timely manner were performed correctly. Reviewed all ownership reports, oversaw preparation of contracts, and drafted and updated prospect maps. Performed due diligence to determine ownership, possible title defects, contractual rights, environmental issues and regulatory matters for company acquisitions and divestitures. Managed acquisitions of oil and gas leases under State and Federal Lands.
