Manage the Professional Services Group who collectively support all pre and post sales initiatives for Key Information Systems. The team is responsible for Intel and IBM Power systems, storage, networking, virtualization and business continuity.

Responsible for both Architecture and Delivery for Intel and Network based solutions for Key Info.

Systems engineer supporting both pre and post sales engagements relating to virtualization and x86 server hardware. Responsible for the design, delivery, testing, documentation and knowledge transfer for all projects.Accomplishments: Designed, implemented and documented a VMware SRM environment for a financial institution utilizing IBM SVC SRAs. Designed, implemented and documented both IBM PureFlex and IBM Flex Systems solutions for multiple customers. Deployed multiple BladeCenter H environments utilizing VMware vSphere as well as stand-along boot from SAN Windows server blades utilizing NetApp Storage. Assisted in a large scale vSphere storage migration from IBM XIV to IBM V7000. Designed, implemented and documented a VMware View environment for a manufacturing company. Developed and taught multiple workshops regarding VMware, FlashSystems, and IBM Flex Systems. Responsible for the internal lab and demos.

On-site dedicated team lead for the ACS Wintel Tower supporting Allergan. The team is comprised of nine engineers globally dispersed and provides 24x7 support of all Windows servers, Citrix, VMware and Active Directory. Responsible for all team activities including setting global standards, documentation, project management, ticket management, SLAs, and reporting.Accomplishments: Assisted in the bi-annual Disaster Recovery test restoring 70+ servers including customer testing. Helped design standard build documents used globally. Assisted in the design and build up of a new data center in Kuala Lumpur.

Manage the Enterprise Systems Server Team consisting of six engineers who collectively support all 1,100 servers in the enterprise across two data centers and 150 remote offices. Responsible for coordinating all team activities, projects, hiring, personnel reviews, resource allocation, budget forecasting, purchasing and disposal. The team is responsible for all server class hardware, virtualization, file and print services, monitoring, provisioning, server tuning and troubleshooting. Accomplishments: Led the team responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of VMware ESX 3.5. Converted 150 physical servers to virtual machines, as well as new virtual provisioning, bringing our total to 495 guest servers running on 31 physical hosts. Designed and implemented HP blade technology within two datacenters utilizing c3000 and c7000 enclosures. Now support over 200 blades running within 27 blade enclosures. Responsible for reducing the data center footprint, power consumption and cooling efforts. Was able to reduce the total number of physical servers within the two data centers from 700 to 400 in under a year through virtualization, consolidation and disposal. Developed and documented the data center server provisioning processes using HP Rapid Deployment.  Assisted in the due diligence and enterprise integration tasks related to the CB Richard Ellis acquisition of the Trammel Crow Company.

Key member of the Technical Services Group responsible for Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and file and print services. Also responsible for the corporate antivirus solution utilizing McAfee VirusScan / ePolicy server. Accomplishments: Key contributor to the design, configuration and migration to a new global Windows 2003 Active Directory forest from multiple Windows 2000 forests and Windows NT 4 domains consisting of over 8,000 users. Project manager for numerous NetWare 6 to Windows 2003 Server migrations, large offices moves and new server installations. Developed and documented the process for remote Windows 2003 Server builds, Active Directory management and migration activities. Assisted in the due diligence and enterprise integration tasks related to the CB Richard Ellis acquisition of Insignia Financial Group. Assisted in the relocation of the corporate data center from Sterling, VA to Stamford, CT.

Worked within a diverse team tasked with supporting the corporate data center, multiple Windows NT 4.0 domains and Citrix MetaFrame 1.8. Also responsible for all field file and print servers, new user setups, publishing applications and tier II support escalations.

Managed an Exchange 5.5 environment consisting of 6000 users and 12 Exchange servers. Responsible for all aspects of the Exchange servers, end user Outlook support, and a GroupWise to Exchange 5.5 migration.

Supported the NetWare servers within the enterprise which were utilized for file and print services, GroupWise and enterprise applications.

Desktop support for an office of 150 clients consisting of user management within NetWare, hardware break/fix, and end user support. Assisted in the integration tasks relating to the Insignia Financial Group’s acquisition of O’Donnell Property Services.
