Championed day-to-day operations and development of Intel and virtual environments.• Delivered over 1K virtual desktops utilizing VMware ESXi and Citrix XenDesktop, realizing a cost savings of approximately 60-70% associated with legacy physical PCs and Blade PC’s.• Served as Disaster Recovery (DR) Transformation Project team member responsible for physical server and virtual infrastructure, designed and implemented DR virtual infrastructure between 2 data centers utilizing EMC RecoverPoint, resulting in savings of approximately $1M a year by eliminating the need to host infrastructure and quarterly DR tests in SunGard facility.• Provided P2V over 300 physical servers, lessening the need to purchase new hardware saving approximately $1M in hardware refresh efforts.• Designed, deployed, and supported VMware infrastructure for 2K+ servers and 2K+ desktops, across the U.S., Canada, and U.K.
