As the Manager of Information Systems at Competitive Engineering Inc, I direct and coordinate development and production activities of the information management department. I'm responsible for all facets of planning, acquiring, implementing, and maintaining data processing and data communications systems.I consult with management to determine information requirements of management, engineering, manufacturing, material control and administrative departments to determine boundaries and priorities of new projects, and discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions. I confer with department heads involved with proposed projects to ensure cooperation and further define nature of project.I maintain and install information management devices to include, but not limited to desktop and notebooks, file servers, backup systems, data storage and retrieval equipment, monitors, input and output devices, printers, hubs, switches, routers, cabling, and equipment. Install software and provides training to users as needed. I have developed custom software/reporting as required for needs not addressable by commercial software programs. I manage sub-contracts as required when outside services are used. I establish budgets and set plans for future needs.

As a line cook, under Executive Chef Billy Foley, I learned every aspect of preparing signature southwestern dishes of Cottonwood Cafe's menu.As the food expediter, I worked in the kitchen alongside the cooks and servers. I was a liaison between the kitchen and the dining room staff, and dealt with both groups of people under stressful conditions. The most important job is to make sure each table gets exactly what they ordered. You are in charge of making sure the side dishes match up on every plate before the server takes them away.
