I provided support to the engineering and metallurgy teams at Elmet Technologies. My duties included product failure analysis, statistical analysis of manufacturing data, and design work. Through these projects, and many smaller projects, I was able to put to use what I learned in my time at school as well as learn new things on a nearly daily basis.

Engineering Department

Performed minor repairs on a hydrogen fuel cell for a professor. The fuel cell is to be used for in class demonstrations.

Performed grounds maintenance duties including mowing, gardening, string trimming, raking, snow removal, fall clean up, etc.

Used problem-solving skills developed in the classroom to improve parking and traffic flow in front of the Field Allen School in an effort to maximize safety for the children throughout the day. To do this preliminary alternative designs were created followed by surveying the area to determine the plausibility of the design.Another project completed was the mapping and naming of the elements the emergency egress systems in each building in the school district. After accomplishing this, my partner and I did research to find the optimal way to mount the corrected maps in each classroom.
