Over 22 years ago, I took on a role as the business lead on a project to develop TIAA's capabilities to work with independent advisors. That decision has become a defining moment in my career. It has taken me on a journey that has required leadership, vision, perseverance, and most of all the moral fortitude to affect change in a Fortune 100 company such as TIAA.
