Transmeta was founded to design and develop an Intel compatible microprocessor/software combination. As Vice President, I achieved over $20M annual bookings implementing design services for Transmeta IP, restructured and increased efficiency by streamlining group, addressed and corrected management, leadership issues which greatly improved engineers’ morale and output. In addition, I executed 4 multi-million dollar design projects on budget and schedule with high customer satisfaction as I was able to communicate effectively with customers of different cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, I was also able to expand the design services business and negotiate with a new customer for a project of high volumed consumer electronics product(s). This eventually resulted in bookings worth $22.5M.

As the Chip Lead and Project Manager of the BCM1480, it achieved cost reduction and high performance by pushing for smaller technology under my leadership. I also drove the shrink of MIPS64 CPU core and tapeout of the single core BCM1125 in only 6 months, thus opening up multiple additional markets. At SiByte, I designed a fully IEEE compliant floating point unit from scratch (architecture and logic, 0.15 µm CMOS, 6.4GFlops @ 800MHz, 1W) for the dual core BCM1250. By working closely with the Marketing and Engineering team, I was able to optimize product specifications during my time with Broadcom.
