I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and third-wave approaches (DBT, ACT, Unified Protocol) to help clients learn the connections between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and to empower them to make desired changes to move towards a full, rich and meaningful life free of suffering.

New York City Metropolitan Area

Hired as a one-year post-doctoral fellow before being offered a full-time staff psychologist position after two months in the post-doctoral role. Responsible for end-to-end case management including assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning and treatment for a full-time clinical load averaging 20+ weekly clients per academic semester. Delivered evidence-based time-limited treatment for a diverse student body across undergraduate and graduate campuses. Serve as the de facto director of outreach initiatives, which involves conceptualizing, planning and executing novel outreach initiatives in partnership with campus organizations to increase mental health awareness and knowledge for both students and faculty. Created and led, panel discussions, professional presentations, campus activities, etc. Served as a supervisor for trainees and junior staff, providing individual supervision and case note review and approval. Also assisted with clinic administration including updating and managing the clinic’s EMR system and consulting on administrative decisions for clinic policy where appropriate.

Study coordinator for an IES funded development grant to create and evaluate a teacher training program to empower teachers to assist students with anxiety. Responsible for managing all study timelines, participants, tasks and deliverables, in addition to completing participant assessments and writing diagnostic evaluations, recruiting at the district, school, teacher and family level, community partnership development and management, recruitment, mentorship and management of a team of undergraduate research assistants, publishing and grant writing.

Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Area

Completed a full time APA Accredited clinical internship in a community mental health clinic focusing on complex developmental trauma in underserved children, adolescents, emerging adults and adults. Responsible for end-to-end case management, formulation, assessment, and treatment of a full time (~20 client) load, most with several comorbid diagnoses and a severe trauma history. Training and experience with high risk clients experiencing substance use disorders, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidality, dysregulation requiring partial hospitalization, schizophrenia, and homelessness, among others. Treatment delivered with a variety of evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders, ARC Framework for Treating Traumatic Stress, and others. Also responsible for providing full psychoeducational batteries and writing full integrated reports. Didactic and learning opportunities focused on service delivery for high risk patients with complex trauma.
