Recruited by and reported to company co-founder Brad Miller. Involved in M&A activity and responsible for merger of engineering organizations after Net Perceptions acquired Knowledge Discovery One (KD1) of Austin, TX. Commercial products included:The Net Perceptions Recommendation Engine: Net Perceptions core collaborative filtering technology. Customers included Amazon.com, CD-NOW.com and Barnes and Noble.Net Perceptions for Advertising: a print ad layout optimization system. The system was based on brick and morter retail decision support analytics developed by KD1. Customers included Wallgreens and K-mart.
