I have spent more than 25 years working as an Equity Portfolio Manager and Analyst, with a consistent track record of outperforming my peers on both the buy-side and sell-side. I have had a range of sectoral specializations and have the core research skills and adaptability to pick up a new focus and contribute alpha in a short space of time.Starting my career at Technology Funding in 1990 as an Investment Analyst, I gained a deep understanding of research and analysis in a high-volume venture capital firm.In 1995, I moved to Wachovia Securities (Wheat First Butcher Singer) as a Senior Equity Analyst (sell-side), where I was ranked #1 for Investment Return – Housing Sector for two consecutive year by the Wall Street Journal "Best on the Street Survey.Between 2002 and 2012, I was an Equity Portfolio Manager for Eagle Asset Management (subsidiary of Raymond James Financial.) As part of a team of four PMs, we generated strong performance relative to the S&P 500 benchmark over a ten-year period. In addition to co-managing the primary large cap core equity product, I helped launch a mutual fund as well as a 130/30 long-short product, all of which contributed to a sizable rise in AUM. Since 2014, I have been employed by TIAA Private Asset Management as Lead Equity Portfolio Manager, running a $2.0BN large-cap core equity sleeve on behalf of HNWI, UHNWI, as well as Foundations, and Endowments.
