Served as a dually appointed Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department and the Center for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (CEMaST) Department. Duties spanned research, service, and teaching. Taught one course per quarter, including C++, Parallel Computing, and Discrete Structures. Learned commodities basis trading through experience on the Corn and Coffee desks.Investigated trading strategies with the R statistical package.

Developed simulations of rail systems using the RTC Software program. Rail system simulations model how systems run and are utilized to better understand operations and improve management. Modeled systems span local light rail to large inter-state projects.
