I tutor a number of students (16 overall) in Primary, Middle and High school in English, History and Math. I also specialize in working families to prepare their children for entrance examination to international schools in China. For several months I have worked with a 10 year old girl who has autism. When we first started she could barely talk – however, now her reading, writing and speaking abilities have vastly improved. She is now able to speak in sentences as well as write paragraphs of her own stories and has told me she would like to be a writer when she grows up.

Since July of 2020, I have been learning and working with ASD patient children. During this time improving my overall skills as an educator. This has given me experience working with special needs children and broadened my knowledge in the psychology industry. Working as an ABA therapist, the key responsibilities include teaching communication skills, monitoring and tracking appropriate data, behaviour management, documentation and recognising and responding to critical improvements with patients.

DL English is a company which provides professional seminars for Chinese Nationals to hear from and talk to international speakers. I have given a number of seminars on topics I have chosen, with an average audience of ten people (ages 19-35). The online format of the seminars has allowed me to gain valuable onscreen experience as all the seminars are live streamed and recorded. They are then used again as teaching materials.

For a year, teaching six grades (a total of 16 classes) at an internationally recognized English Institution. The high intensity of the work allowed me to develop my organizational skills as I had to structure and deliver a large number of lessons each week. This job helped me to learn different teaching techniques as well as how to prepare course material and present it in an engaging but educational way. Essentially, this job sparked my love for teaching.

As a Deckhand, I diligently performed a wide range of responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation and immaculate appearance of the vessel. These duties encompassed 4-hour watch rotations, expertly conducting chart plotting and navigation, proficiently handling lines and mooring fenders, as well as demonstrating precision in polishing and teak cleaning repair and maintenance. Additionally, I excelled in stainless steel detailing, thorough washdowns, and skilful varnishing and painting tasks. Moreover, I demonstrated a keen eye for detail and proficiency in body repair, maintaining the vessel in top-notch condition. Beyond this, I also assumed the role of teaching and guiding guests through water sports and diving activities, consistently delivering exceptional service, and ensuring a memorable experience for all.
