Executed public works and public utilities at the Navy's west coast strategic submarine base. Supervised 120 employees and a large base operations support contractor. Superbly led recovery efforts from 2001 Nisqually earthquake, including 100 percent inspection of buildings and structures and $20 million in repairs. Responsible for planning, programming, and budgeting for the Navy Family Housing program and the Bachelor Quarters Operations program on the staff of the DCNO (Logistics) in the Pentagon. Involved in growing the Navy Family Housing program to over $1 billion per year to correct serious deficiencies in the quality of the facilities. Participated on the tri-service commission to make a new 1+1 bachelor quarters standard for Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marines. Also served on the tri-service commission that drafted the highly successful housing privatization legislation.
