CurrentAs a member of the ISV Engineering & Public Cloud team I lead the Public Cloud technical team and work closely with our Public Cloud Partners, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. We are responsible for the SUSE maintained and operated update infrastructure in each framework, bringing SUSE products to the Public Cloud environment, and the development and maintenance of Public Cloud related tools.Portability across cloud frameworks, simplicity, maintainability, and redundancy were my top priorities in the design and implementation of the update infrastructure. In addition to my day to day work of image and package build and maintenance as well as working on original tools for the public cloud and contributing to numerous upstream open source project I strive to advance the state of the art to make it easier for users to use SUSE products in the Public Cloud.Prior to taking on the Public Cloud area in early 2013 I worked as the Tech Lead for the IBM-SUSE Software Integration Center. As part of this close working relationship between IBM and SUSE I worked on joint projects, such as appliances for DB2 and helped various brands in the IBM Software Group to maintain currency of their application on SUSE Linux Enterprise. Additionally I worked with Additionally I worked with other ISVs in the appliance and integrated systems area.I contribute openSUSE and had the privilege of serving on the openSUSE Board from 2013 to 2016.
